In its January 5th issue, the Fitzhugh published a submission by Mr. Paul Height with respect to various municipal matters. The Fitzhugh wants to make it clear that we do not in any way question the good faith, competence or integrity of any past or present member of municipal council or municipal staff. On the contrary we believe that council members and staff have a very difficult job to do and, by and large, do a very good job for the citizens of Jasper. The Fitzhugh wishes to retract any implication that a reader may have taken from the article to the effect that members of council or municipal staff act in anything but what they believe to be the best interests of the citizens of Jasper, and we unreservedly apologize to council members and staff if the article led any of our readers to think otherwise.
