One man killed in Hinton residential fire Print

One man is dead following a residential fire in Hinton that took dozens of firefighters several hours to extinguish.

The fire was reported at about 8 p.m. on Dec. 13 at a home in the Park Lane Trailer Park.

A team of 21 firefighters from Hinton and an additional six firefighters from Brule battled the blaze for hours. Emergency responders remained at the scene until 3 a.m. on Dec. 14, according to Const. Stuart Kirkpatrick of the Hinton RCMP.

The body of a male, believed to be the lone occupant of the home, was recovered from the wreckage.

As of press time, police had still not released the name of the deceased and said the investigation into the fire continues.
